In the Caregiver Program, caregivers may reside with the care receiver based on a mutual agreement established between the parties. A Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) is submitted by the employer to IRCC, and no boarding or lodging expenses are deducted from the caregiver’s salary. Through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), employment as a home child care provider (NOC 44100) or home support worker (NOC 44101) is possible with an employer who has obtained a positive LMIA.
